To carry out repairs to pits, simply bead blast the part, and clean the pits of black corrosion.

If the pits are deep or big, under-fill them with Bondo or some other suitable car body filler. Ensure you leave a little room for some PITSTOP™ over the top of the filler. This two step process will economize on the PITSTOP™ application.

Fill the deeper areas with Bondo. Allow to cure, then sand the area lightly. This will ensure you have slightly under-filled the holes.

Squeeze out equal quantities of PITSTOP™ and mix thoroughly. Apply with the spatula pick supplied in a smooth, even layer, and allow to cure. You may need to sand down the repair, so do it with 600 grit paper, ensuring you do NOT cut through the PITSTOP™.

PITSTOP™ is ideal for parts that have been copper plated, and those annoying black pits are still showing through. Simply clean the effected area (Light bead blast, abrade, etc) and apply a thin layer of PITSTOP™ over the offending area, then re-plate with copper.
